Andrew Pisher - You know, I have been keeping from listening to certain music for the last year or two. Some of it I can’t even handle listening to at all anymore. I am not sure what that means, maybe because I am so hung up on who I once was and want to be sure that I never retort to that state of being.

Anyways, this article made me realize that I need to suck it up and listen to those old tunes again. They will give me something I can use to grow in this world. I know that I will learn something even though I have heard these songs a MILLION times…

Micah Tutay - I was just thinking this subject this morning… our fears basically. Whatever we are most afraid of is what we need to face the most. When we intentionally avoid something, regardless of the reason, we are actually giving it even more of our attention and energy… attention and energy that can be used for something more productive and positive. Avoiding something simply keeps us hijacked by that thing. We hold the keys to our own emotional freedom!

I also was thinking about how facing things from our past keep not only us from emotional hijacking ourselves but from others using emotional blackmail, (or any other kind of blackmail). If we face it, get it over with, we keep our power; we get stronger and wiser.

Kim Gerodimos - Music always brings back memories for me. I am finding it hard to find new music that he and I didn’t listen to. Or the music I played when working out just after he left me, I can no longer listen to as it brings back the pain. There will come a time when I can listen to it all again. I just know it is a major trigger for me. I am strong and I am moving on:)
